GDPR Policy

For the purpose of compliance with the obligations provided for by the EU Regulation 2016/679 (“General Data Protection Regulation” or “GDPR”), we are required to obtain explicit consent for the collection and processing of sensitive and personal data. Should consent be given, the data subject will have the right to :

  • access his/her data, 
  • have his/her data amended or deleted, 
  • and have processing of data halted. 

Below is a description of the purposes for which the data will be used and the information necessary to provide consent.


Purpose of data processing

Sensitive data will be collected exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Registration of the individual in relation to Women TechEU related initiatives.
  • To be contacted with regard to initiatives associated with Women TechEU.
  • Event communications.
  • Managing your administrative position (purchase of services, invoicing, collections, etc.)
  • Helping us improve technical assistance, customer care, our services and content.
  • Performing any aggregate statistical analysis on an anonymous basis. 
  • Manage complaints and disputes, recover debts, prevent fraud and illegal activities
  • Exercise the rights and protect the legitimate interests of the Data Controller or third parties for example the right of defense in court.
  • Send you commercial communications to the email address you provided. Each email sent will allow you, by clicking on the appropriate link, to refuse further submissions. 
  • For the fulfillment of legal obligations, your data will be used to comply with and fulfill the obligations provided for by laws, regulations, community regulations, orders and prescriptions of the competent authorities.
  • Statistic interpolation.

Duration of data storage

The data collected will be stored for a period no longer than necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or subsequently processed.

The data will be stored on AcrossLimits’ servers and can always be removed following a specific request by the User to the Data Controller.

The data will not be in any case shared with third parties. AcrossLimits Ltd is committed to keep personal and sensitive data confidential with appropriate safeguards to prevent it from unauthorised disclosure.


Right to withdraw consent

Consent may be withdrawn at any time by sending an email to the Data Controller on [email protected]


Right to lodge a complaint

Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, every data subject shall have the right to lodge a complaint with the Maltese data supervisory authority: the Information and Data Protection Commissioner, if he/she considers that the processing of personal data relating to him/her infringes this Regulation
